Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to 1:1 coaching, group sessions and online mentoring support from @notdefining. Please read them cafrefully and get in touch if you have any questions. They are repeated on the booking form when you book 1:1 coaching and will be sent to you if you join our Patreon mentoring group.
Agreement: Coaching/mentoring is a partnership in a thought-provoking process that inspires the client to maximise personal potential. Coaching/mentoring does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders and is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatry or other professional advice by medical or other qualified professionals.
Confidentiality: The coach/mentor will not disclose any information pertaining to the client without the client’s consent. The coach may take notes during coaching sessions. These will be kept securely for a maximum of 6 years since the date they were written. The client may request to see the notes at any time. No notes will be taken of mentoring or group sessions. The coach/mentor may ask the client to break confidentiality only in the event that the coach/mentor believes there is a risk of harm to the client or somebody else.
Ethics: The coach/mentor agrees to maintain the ethics and standards of behaviour established by the International Coach Federation (ICF). The client may review the ICF Code of Ethics here: https://coachingfederation.org/ethics. The coach/mentor warrants that they are an ICF certified coach. They hold an official ICF certified Diploma in Integrative Coaching and are an officially certified Rainbow Minds practitioner with a Diploma in Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diverse Therapy. The coach warrants that they are fully insured and receive regular clinical supervision from a senior qualified psychotherapist and coach.
Refunds: Appointments and Patreon memberships are non-refundable, however you may change the time of a coaching appointment up to 24 hours in advance. Patreon memberships are governed by Patreon’s own terms and conditions.
Emotional stress: The client acknowledges that coaching/mentoring may be personally and emotionally challenging. The client will not hold the coach/mentor liable for any loss or cost incurred in the event of mental, physical, emotional stress or distress caused directly or indirectly in relation to the coaching sessions. The client shall indemnify the coach/mentor in the event of any such claim.
Damages: The coach/mentor makes no guarantees, representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the coaching/mentoring services rendered. In no event shall the coach/mentor be liable for any indirect, consequential or special damages. The client acknowledges that the coach has been engaged by the client solely as an independent contractor. The client shall not hold any party liable for any act, matter or thing done or done by the coach/mentor in the course of the coaching/mentoring sessions.
National Laws: These T&Cs shall be governed and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of England and Wales without giving effect to any conflicts of law’s provisions. Any legal case should be submitted to a UK court and the coach/mentor shall not be made liable to any case arising in another country or jurisdiction.
